K&N Typhoon Intake questions

K&N Typhoon Intake questions
I'm thinking about getting the K&N Typhoon intake for my car but I have a few questions first:
1. How hard is it to install? On the K&N website they have a step by step manual on the installation and it looks fairly complicated because of all the steps. What were your thoughts on the installation?
2. Will it effect my warranty with Nissan in any way? Will they care if I take the car in for service with the Typhoon intake installed?
3. Are there any better intakes for under $300? Ingen? Nismo?
Thanks.

The install is very easy. I installed the Injen CAI which is a pain. The short ram tube is easy, its when you have to do the cold air part that sucks. There are just a few bolts that you take out and the air box. As far as your warranty goes it might effect it. You may want to call and ask a local dealer. I was told when I put on my Injen it would effect it because the filters use oil. They said this would shorten the life of the MAF and so that wouldn't be covered anymore, but they never said anything to me when I would bring my car in for service. It wouldn't void your whole warranty. I think the K&N is one of the best out there. If you are looking for one I have them in stock, ready to ship. PM me for a price.
