Default I/Plen/h/hfcats/e without TS ECU re-flash?

I currently have a jwt popcharger, kinetix plenum & cats installed and a stillen exhaust and DC ss headers waiting to be installed. Any one have all these piece installed and had the A/F ratio tested? What was the A/F like?

I don't want to put these last two pieces on and find I'm running really lean. I figure I can put either of the last two pieces on without a problem but when the last piece is added I fear the A/F will be in the 14s.

Anyone with experience please post up.

Thx

I have everything that is listed in my sig, my next mod is the Techno reflash. I fear that i am running lean but i have not tested it.

Is there a visual way to test it? Can you tell by looking at your exhaust tips?

theres no way to reliably tell if your cars running lean by looking at the exhaust tips. the only way you could tell if theres almost no carbon build up on the pipes or very very little, as well as too much meaning your rich. this is all kinda subjective and its hard to tell exactly where your at, but it is a rough indicator of whats happening.

look at your spark plugs.....thats the only way you can really get an idea on how ur Z is running without a test.... but you do need a reflash......Ive seen dyno's and your probably running in the 14-15 zone..... Im getting mine done before I do any more mods... then an SAFC to fine tune everything....

I have the mods listed in my sig installed and my acr idles at around 14.5-15.1 AFR. It dips as low as high 11s or low 12s when I get on it. For those of you who know who gq_626 is, he said my AFR is not bad. Basically where it sound be for a NA Z. He did say I was running a little rich when I am getting on it, but not too bad.

i would suggest that you take your car and have it dynoed....then make your decision....if your that worried put the remaining mods in and have it reflashed at the same time....out

the crawford cats that I have make the most diffrence to your A/F ratio according to Techno Square peoples....They said it leans the Z too much in the mid range.....

So how bad is it to run lean? How long would you feel safe driving around before getting a re-flash if your A/F was in the high 13s low 14s?

I have i/plenum/pulley/test-pipes/injen exhaust and I was running 15.2 a/f's in the midrange, with an average of about 14.7:1 across the board. I was at 14.5:1 at redline. I ran it like this for about 8,000 miles, no problems. I knew I was running lean by the dyno, and the fact that I stopped popping flames from the exahsut and I had NO carbon buildup on the bumpers, which I had before my last mod. I just got a Technosquare reflash, I sent them my a/f table and my mods list I should be at the dyno sat if I can make it...BTW 7100 rpm's is sick.

So your A/F reading is coming from the tailpipe sniffer at the dyno shop?
Several guys have said that when they installed the wideband and compared those readings (taken at the cat or testpipe, I believe), it showed the A/F to be approx 0.5 richer than the dyno tailpipe sniffer readings.

An accurate A/F reading would be essential to really know what's going on.

Also, the A/F readings that you posted are indeed after you've made adjustments with the safc unit?
