Would I be better with race pipes or crawford cats?

Race pipes would make more power, but would most likely sound raspy with the Nismo catback. I'd get the crawfords.

How do you know if your cats are gone? What are the symptoms?

kinetix resonated test pipes dude. that's the way to go. all th epower, none of the raspiness. a bit more money but i'm happy with the results. they also come with the o2 bungs welded on already which makes it nice and easy to swap. no cel after install.

leatherface- you know you've got no cats when you take them off and replace them with test pipes (race pipes).\\\\

If you dont mind the rasp and want race pipes....Gut the RT's . If I had it to do again..... I would have taken my gutted RT's and tried some way to add very heavy steel wool type stuff to the inside of it . To try to get rid of the rasp . I ended up getting the Crawfords and Im very happy with them....Bill

How loud would this be?

I had a buddy put straight-through race pipes on his Supra and all he did was get pulled over for loudness.

I agree with the resonated test pipes. All the power of straight pipes but without the raspiness and not as loud. Actually, jsut a tad bit louder than before.
