I have a broken bolt on the outside of the intake plenum that snaped off, one of the 10 bronze colored bolts. What is the best way to get it out? I was thinking of using a dremel and placing a screw in the middle and hopefully screwing it out.

The bold is broken in half. The lower half is still in the intake. I was going to drill a hole in the center of the broken bolt and try to unscrew it that way. Would that work???

How can a tap and dye set get a broken bolt out of a plenum?? The bolt is broken in half. We are talking about the 10 bolts around the plenum.. Sorry for not understanding.
Here is a pic.

Go to Sears and look in the drill bot section, you'll see a countersunk spring-loaded drill bit it's used to set hinge plates on doors, the countersunk part mates w/the countersunk hinge plate you then press and the drill bit emerges and guarantees a perfectly centered hole-hard to explain. Anyway, using this device you could center it over the hole and press and drill into the broken bolt, then use an EZ out, also at Sears and back the threaded stud out.
Trending Topics
1. File or grind the remaining stud flat.
2. Center punch the center.
3. If you can, drill a hole in the middle of the remainding stud using a drill size matched to a tool called an EASY OUT. The EASY OUT is a special reverse threaded, tapered, and hardened tool. It grabs the remaining stud from inside the drilled hole and allows you to unscrew it.
A tap will clean and restore the threads in the hole once you remove the stud.
