Never inferred that. The sheep comment is about how the JWT is the 'only one' that makes power.. and the 6.5 whp claim.

I like the JWT.. sound wise its much louder then the Injen even. But I wanted the red boots and polished pipe for my eye candy That's me personally.

i am actually happy abt that, this is my first tread that i got so many replies..

However, looks like most of them r pop charger fans ??.....

Well, i tried the 4k rpm things, but the sound still not too noticable.

i guess my exhaust sond cover it. Anyway, it's good to know there is nothing "wrong" of my injen, it just behaves like wut it "supposed to"

ha ha, i used read a tread that says injen is the ludest of all, maybe i got missleading.

not try to flame anyone here, but i seriously think injen looks beter, especially in person. pop charger is easier to install though. (take me one hr to install injen)

 

i wish my intake is LOUD~~~~!!! sigh.......

oh, and does the filter oil thing affect my intake??

Too much oil on the filter and it will cause a lot of damage.

1. Clean the filter with hot water or something like K&N has. Ensure you use a brush to get the buggies and junk out.

2. Let it dry completely, 2-3 hours.

3. Light coat of oil, let it dry overnight.

4. Re-install.

 

which means...i need to take off my bumper and reinstall the whole thing again...T___T ??

is there an easier way to do it?? to take off filter is a majoer problem of injen intake

 

Not sure about the Injen, thats why everyone likes the JWT.

2. Sound
3. Ease of install and cleaning.

Took me 2 screws to take mine off and clean it. No bumper removal for me.

Just take off the under carriage cover (big plastic piece under the engine) and you can get to the filter from there. Really not that hard at all. I clean mine regularly. As far as Injen being the loudest, I think many are referring to the exhaust. The Injen exhaust is pretty loud, especially with an intake on the car and HF cats or test pipes.

I just cleaned my filter today. I'm kinda worried about the oiling part. I think I put way too much on. I blotted out all I could, and let it sit for a few hours to drain down.

See how paranoid I get and maybe I'll try to wash it out again. The oil is deceptive at first in terms of it doesn't look like its going to spread.. but it does. Its thinner then it looks at first.

I have run my Z with the long and short Injen setup and the short setup is louder. To run the short setup take the filter, filter tube and long bent hose off and attach jut the filter to what is left.

Also make sure you disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to reset the computer.

Most of the time the car is docile but getting on the freeway and winding out the gears produces a good growl.

I imagine you got your setup used, hence the low price and cleaning questions.

Get the K&N cleaning kit from Kragen, it has all the instructions inside. Main things are:
Don't use high pressure water
Clean from the inside out, you don't want to push dirt into the filter.
Let it dry completely before the re-oil
Don't over oil.

maybe i did not mention clearly in my first post.

i washed my filter with K&N filter cleaner kit and rinse w/ K&M filter oil

i just wonder is that bad too apply too much oil on my filter...
