the Evo 2 only adds that much going from stock to it on an FI car

and I have to agree that the stillen gives the most power of the conventional ones, but it is heavier,

I got 9whp and 8 wtq

16 hp and 14 ft/lb from the exhaust alone is very optimistic.

1sickZ, imho it doesnt really matter which exhaust you install because the difference in gains will be minimal.

imho, buy the exhaust that sounds the best to you.

that being said, according to an article in sport z, stillen won the comparison with a gain of 8.1 hp and 7.3 torque. which was only up to a 2 hp advantage over all except for 1 system tested (5zigen lost power).

additionally, you will not really get the full benefit of an exhaust upgrade if you do not also change out the stock cats for hi flows or test pipes.

as mentioned the specific exhaust you pick on this car makes little difference. Swap out the cats for high flow ones, swap out the Y pipe for any aftermarket one (again makes no difference here for FI use) and if you want a cat back, get what you like the looks/sound of.

When you get down to comparing apples to apples on the exhausts (duals vs non duals with Y pipes) you'll see they are all produce the same basic gains.

I think there is one type of Exhaust that has not been test yet. Single 80mm pipe and single outlet. Like Greddy Ti. It's going to be alot lighter for sure, just wondering what's the gain.

Go with Borla, very similar to stock sount 13 HP Gain. Dynoed proven. Slightly deeper than stock and 2 pipes all the way down, unlike stillen. And you save about 11lbs, where as with stillen you add more weight. 1million mile warranty with BORLA!!!

Again can we please not try to mislead new people or anyone.
The word dyno and proven cant even be used in the same sentence if you ask me!

Anyway to think the Borla will provide you with 13HP is a joke. It sounds throaty...some say American! If you like that buy it.
Problem with the kit IMO is that it is made less effectively. It is a bunch of small pieces put together to make an exhaust. More chances to get an exhaust leak than with others.

If quality is a concern consider NISMO/STILLEN.
If getting 15HP or more is a concern forget about it!

it's hard to believed that an exhaust with bunch of small peices put together can make that much HP. Pipe with more joint section means less smooth flow. It is crucial to have smooth exhaust flow in Exhaust design.

I have the Injen because it sounds good and has good power gains. The qaulity is also a good factor for purchase reasons.

As for Stillens claims

Wouldn't you think that 2 pipes flow more air than one!! You would never think that a dual would flow better than a single pipe, hence better air flow for each manafold, hence more HP>>
HMMMMMMMMMM Genius!

I respectfully disagree.

Stillen, Injen and HKS (others ?) are true dual exhaust systems in my opinion. Borla does indeed have a common muffler housing. I guess you could argue about Stillen's x-pipe, but it's still a dual system in my book.

Here's a picture of Stillen's 350Z system.

When sport z magazine did the exhaust dynos the borla didn't even come close to 13. It made like 5hp or something like that.

Yup Yup that is correct. If I remeber correctly Maserom car is also a AT. I've noticed that AT 350Z's seem to show different gains on the dyno. Why?! Beats me... We used 2 MT's 350Z's for the dyno test
