Default Injen Intake Installed....but...

Alright, So I FINALLY got my Injen CAI installed. But I noticed I had the heat shield left over... where does that go??

I was in such a rush to get the intake installed because I was going to be late for class, I got it in, and took it for a quick 1/2 mile drive. Everything seemed good, as soon as I got it in I turned on the car and let it run while I was putting the bumper back on. I noticed after about 5 minutes of it running idle, it started to make a wierd sound (bogging sound) for like 2 seconds, only happend twice. I dont think its anything, just engine getting used to the intake??

So far in that half mile drive I didnt have any SES lights come on (Thank Goodness!) Now Im just waiting for class to be over so I can go home, drive it and see if I have any problems with it stalling randomly like ive read about a few times in here.

Overall, it took me an hour and a half to do complete install. Not bad I dont think.

Anyone have any questions, comments or anything for the common good?

Thanks!

I had it before I got my JWT, never had any problem with it, I also had the heat shield but did not install it. If you ask why I don't have the it on my car now it's b/c the Injen CAI did not sound as good/strong as the JWT in my opinion.

i dont have mine on either. at the time we couldnt figure out where it was supposed to go. Dont really think it would make any difference anyway.

It blocks the heat from the manifold, put it on when you get the chance. It is easy.

THe heat sheild is easy to get on. it just goes over the stock heat sheild. But if you ever plan on adding headers, then don't bother.

yeah, on top of the heatshield that covers the header right under the intake.
