Default BCM Carbon Dynamic Airbox?

Looks similar to the Gruppe M design, but less than half the price. You'd just run the duct to a scoop in your choice of location for ram-air. Thoughts?

not similar to the gruppe m design at all really IMO. it looks to be a universal design. I'd just go with K and N or nismo, or a popcharger instead. I have the gruppe M on my z, but i did that just for the exotic aspect. There's no performance difference really between mine and say a popcharger, EXCEPT on top speed runs, where my scoop really forces the air in.

I had that intake on my euro spec Honda Civic Type-R (2 litre, 200hp, 8200rpm). I would say its quite good for performance gains (though ofcourse marginally) but it dosent give you the same aggressive sound of a a more "open" filter like the popcharger or K&N etc.

Though if you leave the front of the box open without connecting a tube from it you get almost the same sound as from an open filter.

Excellent quality and looks quite nice too!

Thanks, for the info. I found a place that sells it for $250, thats like half of MSRP, and half of waht eagleday.com sells it for.

Here is the site for $250. I think i might just jump on this...
