Default Exhaust Noise Levels - A Scale

I would like to get peoples input on the noise levels of exhausts. Noise is a very subjective thing and I hope with enough people giving input we can get a more clear picture of how noisy (or sexy) exhausts are.

On a 1-10 scale : 1 almost silent - 10 you will get pulled over and ticketed for excessive noise just cruising and your ears want to bleed hearing it go by at full throttle.

1 - Stock Lexus, Audi, BMW, Toyota etc
... almost silent at idle and the same while cruising, engine noise from front of car at full throttle, not much noise out of the back from the exhaust

3 - Personally where I put a bone stock 350Z
... very quiet at idle, little hint of rumble but easilly ignored, nice mellow no drone tone at highway cruising, you know its there but can be ignored, more noise out the back from the exhaust than from the front at full throttle going by, but dosent offend or make you thing "God thats loud", a nice throuty exhaust

Now, I have been told that the Stillen Dual would fall about a 7 on this scale, Borla TD about a 5, and a Fuji tainless about a 4.
Please post your opinions on these exhausts and any others you may want to include.

RS-R and the Pro N1 are 10's. I had recently been snagged for an illegal exhaust with the RS-R on my car. I recorded how loud it was with a SPL meter and without the silencers the RS-R is in the 110 - 115 decibal range from 50 feet away. With the silencers in, it'd' probably be around 85-90 decibals.

Long story short, the exhaust is still on the car!

Yes, the exhaust is extremely loud. Even with the silencers it is still a little loud. I drove it for a while with the silencers out and never got pulled over or anything. I also would keep the rpms pretty low when passing by a cop. I once took a friend to get some fast food and he looked scared in the passenger seat, said he wouldn't ride in it anymore haha. I dont have the best hearing anyways, so i put the silencers back in. Actually considering going with a quieter exhaust like the invidia g200 or fujitsibo titanium. It all depends what you like and how much you drive the car.

If you would like to hear clips of our headers on a stock 350 you can just go to www.nexusindustry.com and go to the dynos section and the 350z and there you can see some sound clips.
