Cat deletion Pipe How to
Has anyone installed cat deletion pipes and receved "sevice engine soon" message due to the post cat O2 sensors, sensing a change in exaust gasses? I get the message with my cat deletion pipes after running the car for about 3000KM from a new oil change. After new oil change sevice light goes out. Ive heard about O2 sensor simulators, (555 timer type) seem pretty easy to make. Has anyone used one of these? Should I even worry about the Post O2 sensors sending a "Positive" feed back?
The light has been known to come on on the 04 and later models. I had helix test pipes on my 03 with no problems. I think there are a couple people with the simulators. Do a search for simulators and you will find some threads i think. There is a guy on here that knows where to get them but i can't remember his name. It shouldn't be anything to worry about though.
I have a few threads in this forum and the inventors forum. Nobody has one made for the 04 as far as I know. Im still looking.
There is a thread from skidazzle showing step by step how to make one. His name is michael and I spoke to a close friend of his and he tells me mike would have to get at least 10 people together for it to be worth his time.
The engine light doest mean anything. You can disconnect your negitive battery cable over night to reset the computor and your light will go off temporaraly; at least long enough to get a smog with the cats back on. It takes 3-4 hrs to reset computer.
His thread read (something to keep the ecu happy about t...)
