B.S at the dealer sat
Ok so I bring my z to the local dealer ship for some things 1, alot of wind noise. 2, front end squeeking. So i drop the car off at night call at about 130 the following day. I call and they say they cant duplicate the problem ok ill come down and show you. I get down there to find out my warranty on my front end has apparently been voided because I changed my front tires due to the feathering problem. Instead of 225-50-17 I put 225-45-17 so now my warranty is voided?? he also tels me its because my carbon fiberhood and my open cone air filter with stock intake tube!!! So he says take the mecahnic for a ride for the wind noise, ok we go for a ride. He hears the noise we get back. Now the orig service manager who was being a jerk passes me off to some monkey of his. He says they have to order a new weather strip and will call me in a week and a half. You mean to tell me nissan takes a week and a half to get a part wow. So i say did u even check to see if you had it in stock? he says yes they do not have it. So i go to parts and what do ya know they have it.... I go back tell the guy and he says we dont think we can do it today. Are you kidding me i dropped the car off last night fix it. So they fix the window strip and on the work order got the jerk noted at the bottom, Customer installed aftermarket cold air intake,Titanium hood and after market tires.. Now I dont have a titanium hood or a cold air and since when did nissan start making factory tires. Thought all tires would be aftermarket. Any way my front end squeeks what should I do.
try weston nissan. i havent had any problems with them. and they replaced my tires for feathering, even before the tsb was released, and they ordered a new tranny when i called them and told them mine was grinding 3rd gear.
i dont think they would be the most mod friendly dealer, but with modest modifications they shouldn't give you a problem.
also another member, i think jun, said the service manager at the dealership he goes to had no problems with his modifications when he had some problems. i dont remember what dealership it was though...
