Clear Bra Help (installer razor bladed a few spots)
So I go and buy a 05 Roadtser Touring on Saturday. It already has the hood and side clear bra. I inquired that I wanted the bumper done. They call the guy thats does their cars. So I call the guy up, he says $299 for the bumper and mirrors. I inquire how long has he been doing clear bra's, his reply, 5 years.
BTW his company is called the Bra Man. So he is a reputable dealer.
So I am like okay you did a great job on the hood, sides, have you done 350z's bumpers before, his reply, yes many times. I asked him twice I was concerned with razor blade scrapes. He says hes careful and it doesn't happen.
Okay so I take it to this guys house. He has a nice garage. SO when hes done he drops it at the dealer for me to pick up. I inspect it, but was in a hurry to go home. When I get home my wife looks at it, and says you might want to look at this.
He razor bladed the edges near the lower bumper reflector. It also looks like the bumper wasn't completely clean prior to putting on the clear bra.
So I call him up, and basically gets on the offensive that bumpers are the hardest and you can;t get them perfect. He also said he gave me a discounted price (WTF does that have to do with Tea in China)
Here a few pics, what do you think?
I am taking the Z to the dealer to have the Sales Manager look at. Am I being too picky here?
The scrape is there you have to look at it carefully. Arrow is pointing to the scrape. BTW there are 3 other spots with smaller scrapes as well. What to do, what to do!
