Default Should I change the oil already?

It has been two months since I brought my baby G, and it only has about 750 miles on it. I rarely drive it because I received an offer shortly after I got the car, so now I'm taking public transportation everymorning.

Should I give it an another month then change the oil or should I just wait 'till I hit 3,000 miles? I was planning on change the oil at the end of March regardless the mileage.

what do you guys suggest?

Thanks

Liang

I was in a similar situation as you and after much research on this forum and others I have decided to wait until the factory reccommended interval of 7500 miles to change the oil. Right now im at 5000/6mo so at this rate I'll change it in march/april. From reading on this forum it seems that I have a very unpopular opinion as to the oil change interval as most seem to change it at 3000mi or sooner. Being very scientifically minded, and since I couldn't find any hard evidence suggesting otherwise, I decided to go ahead with 7500 mi. Hope this helps.

P.s. many new audi's/vw's have factory intervals of 10k mi's, and the new civic is 12.5k mi's

Well the break in period is 1,200 miles. I would definitely recommend changing it at that point. Then follow the good ole 3,000 miles or 3 months which ever comes first. If it has 750 on it, go out and have a fun weekend driving it then change the oil once you put some more miles. I wouldn't wait to 3,000 miles how many ever months away that is.
