Injen/JWT CAI Problem.
i am a dumbass. thought id say that before you all did.
ok here we go. i have had my injen CAI for some time now and decided instead of cleaning it to change the filter element itself. seeing the JWT, its bigger and its blue. somewhat of a change and not all that expensive. anyhow, i bought a replacement JWT filter element from performancenissanparts.com opened it up and BAM!!!
thats a huge hole!
omg what did i do wrong. is their an adapter that connect to the huge intake hole and the tube? i need this peice or esle this baby is going back. does anyone know where i can get this peice?
suggesttions?
thanks,
john

You're talking about the venturi portion that normally attaches to the stock intake tube. I don't think they even sell that separately, but you might check around. If the connection from your CAI tube is not like the stock tube, then that venturi piece is useless.
I'd recommend you get the compatible filter size, and return the JWT.

thank you for your recommendation. rather than give up or quit i will try to find this peice or will return this filter and buy the entire JWT intake kit and adapt it to the injen with a coupler to clear the bumper.

the only way that would work is if you make the injen a short ram, the metal cone adapter is too heavy and most likely will bend the downhose of the injen intake, stick to the injen filter or sell it and use the popcharger , i like the JWT much better
