Default :( Crashed Car

At the mall seeing The Ring 2 with friends and on my way home, honestly don't remember anything that happened. By the time I opened my eyes I had crossed the road and was too late and just went down the side of the road into trees I suppose.

This stinx. Not sure how long it will take or what is going to be done.

I'm glad I'm okay but now Im just concerned about the car. I realize all the cosmetic stuff can be fixed but the fact that the engine looked like it was at an angle was concerning.

In any case now my mom is talking about getting me something else so I'm gonna have to wait and see what ends up happening.

How do you not remember? Probably a concussion, but what was the reason, Weather, drinking, sleepy, ect?

Prob not drinking since you were watching a movie. I bet it was raining and you lost it.

Sorry for your loss, looks totaled.

Im not sure. I wasn't drinking and don't remember being sleepy. I just remember like snapping back and seeing that I was going towards the woods and tried to turn and before I knew it the airbags slammed and I just opened the door and fell out

I hope your all right and it is a total loss because I really would not prefer to have it repaired.

Weather?

Same thing happened to my brother-in-law in Phoenix. He has seizures and didnt even know it. He wrecked his truck twice. I would consult a doctor.

Could be a temporary epilepsy attack or something, a friend of mine had it once, he watched a action movie (lot's of flashing lights and such) and all of a sudden he was on the ground... doctor told him it was a epilepsy attack... that's 2 years ago and he never had it again...

So i would consult a doctor about this, and too bad about your car bro

I am missing a 8 hour chunk from my memory the night I totaled my tt. The doctor told me that it was due to head injuries, or i subconsciously erased something I did not want to remember.

still waiting on the autobody and insurance for what the fate of the car will be. Just went today to have it released to the autobody to have them begin looking at it.

Hopefully they declare it a total loss although I have no clue about anything concerning cars so for all I know the repair could be a simple job. I went to turn the car on today and all it did was make a clicking noise and the front is pretty well messed up since I likely hit the tree at about 45.

Wheels didn't hold up to well either :

In the meantime, I've been looking at cars online to entertain myself since school is basically over. What I've realized now that I don't have it is how much I loved that car. I wouldnt mind a change but really for the base price, you can't get a car that is as distinctive looking and as fun to just look at.

**** man, I'm really sorry about your wreck. You must feel really upset. More importantly, take the guys' advice. Because you don't remember the wreck, it is very possible you had a mild seizure. You really need to get it checked out.

They are going to check out the engine tomorrow and get the estimate for how much its going to be.

They called today to see how much the wheels cost each to replace so I thought they were gonna go ahead and fix it but no final word yet.

If they total it don't let them just give you a kbb price or something. Take a look around for local car dealers selling a touring with similar options and miles and see how much they want for it and try to get that much. My parents had a car totalled and the insurance gave them the retail value of the car and they weren't able to replace the car for how much they gave them and had to spend a lot more to replace the car.
