Anyone know how to reset the ECU or AIR BAG Light?
I just installed custom leather in my car and my AIR BAG LIGHT won't turn off. Anyone know how to turn off the Air bag light or how to reset the ECU to turn off the Service engine light? Don't want to bring the car to the dealer for something I know is operating just fine......
I prefer the method in the service manual: srs.pdf page 19
(paraphrased)
1) Turn the ignition switch from off to on
2) The airbag light will stay on for 7 seconds. Within one second of the airbag
light going off, turn the ignition switch off.
3) After the ignition switch is off, wait for 3 more seconds
4) Repeat steps 1-3 twice. (3 times total)
5) Turn ignition switch ON again. (put's you in diagnostic mode)
Diags for airbag light:
Blinks every 1/2 sec: The system is malfunctioning and need to be repaired as indicated.
Stays on: The airbag is deployed, sensor malfunction or Circuit malfunction
Stays off: Sensor malfunction or bulb burnt out
After a malfunction is repaired, turn the ignition switch OFF for at least one second, then back ON. Diagnosis mode returns to the User mode. At that time, the self-diagnostic result is cleared.

This won't work for me because my airbag light is blinking already. I re-wrapped my seats and the airbag light has been blinking ever since..... need to know how I can reset the air bag light... it's driving me insane.
