Default Screwed up...need advice

I just had my new engine cover painted chrome silver...BUT i forgot to have the shop cut a piece out on the lower right side of the engine cover to fit over the bracket of my Vortech superhcarger....I'm obviously guessing that I'm screwed. If if I have them cut it, the paint will chip everywhere and keep on chipping. What would be my options here? Will they have to cut it, then repaint? or is that even not possible? Please, need some advice here. I feel like crap, they did such a nice job on the paint job.

I'm not sure of the method for cutting this plastic, but I think if you tape the area first and cut through the tape and score the paint with a razor knife before cutting, you may be ok.
