The other day, my airbag sensor started flashing. Took it into the shop and they found that the passenger side airbag had shorted and the entire assembly had to be replaced. Not an issue under warranty and was glad to get a new one. But my question is: Has anyone else had this problem? Could there be something that might happen at 40000 miles and not be covered under warranty? My guess is that it was just a glitch, but wanted to throw it out to the group and see if there might be "safety in numbers".

PS awhile back, they ripped out my entire interior trying to prove a check engine light was my fault due to stereo modification. I wasted no time telling them the airbag problem was PROBABLY from them ripping my car apart. lol
