SES (Service Engine Soon), TCS OFF, Slip lights came on! What's the cause?
#21
Oh, man, same thing happened to me today!
I had just got on the freeway and was changing lanes when I am like wait a minute, where's my power. I looked down and my CEL, TCS, and Slip light were on. The car wasn't sputtering but giving it gas didn't seem to do anything. I pulled off the freeway and shut it down. Turned it back on and now only the CEL light was on. The car appeared to drive normal and I took it to a dealer which was about 1.5 miles away.
Mine is a 2005 Enthusiast with no engine mods. Hmmmm, let's see what they say. *crosses fingers*

Just got a call from Mark (fellow Z owner) at Connell in Costa Mesa. He said it was the throttle position sensor that failed which is a part of the throttle control assembly(?). Said he had all of the necessary parts in stock and that I am now good to go.
I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant about dropping my car off there, since I didn't purchase from them and also wanted to see if I could research the issue a bit more, but so far they have exceeded all of my expectations.
I'll keep you updated...
