Question Nissan Window Defect?

For the second time in eight months my right window will not roll up. Nissan replaced my window engine about eight months ago. My buddy had to have his window engine replaced last month on his G35 coupe and my wife's window on her 03 pathfinder will not roll to the top. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a recall?

my driver side died about 9 months ago. 500+ for repairs. My Passenger just died this week. Saving up another five-hundo as we speak. And no, I am not aware of any recalls. However, depending on where you got your motor fixed, even if you are outside warranty, any repair by a certified dealer is coverd for 12k miles or 12 months... whatever you hit first.

My right window motor broke too after about 50k miles. Would have been $500+ but my extended warranty covered it (thankfully). Nissan doesn't admit that there is a defect (to my knowledge), but judging from what I've heard the window motors are not well made.

bstfugtfomrfn... Man if I had to pay for that twice I'd be pissed. I feel bad for you. If that happened to me I think I'd complain that it's obvious they're wearing out too soon. Duno if it'd help tho. Nissan isn't in the business of giving away free parts (even if they were designed poorly in the first place).

Thanks. I better get it looked at before 12k passes.

Hey guys, did your windows go up at all or did they just die? My buddy's window goes all the way up and then comes half way down before it stops. Just wondering if this is what happens before the motor dies or it's just another problem.

The drivers side of my 03 just died at 18k miles. When it was up, I could get get it going by pushing down on it while holding the switch down. I know this is not a good permanent fix, but it will work in a pinch until you replace the motor.

Mine died too on my passenger's side. The dealer blamed it on the my speaker screws which were too long.

But after reading everyone's posts. I think they blamed me for nothing.

My drivers side window was doing the roll up then roll halfway down thing. Took it to the dealer and they said they replaced the window motor regulator. It works fine now and it was under warranty.
