i bought a 2003 Touring 5AT about a month ago...
just this past weekend, ive experienced some problems with the Z and ive done some searches and found some info, but still confused about some issues.

1- I just got an oil change on thursday of last week, i put 5w30 Mobil 1 Synthetic with a Purolator Pure 1 Oil Filter... and noticed soon after that my oil pressure ran a little high (at idle when i startup it gets close to 80psi then after awhile it goes between 60-80... when i accelorate(sp?) it jumps to 120). Here is the thing, i really didnt pay much attention to the oil pressure until after i got the oil change. I just want to know if this is normal, and if not im gunna bring it to the dealer.

2- On Saturday afternoon I parked my car home after a funeral, I took a nap... While I was taking a nap, my sister tried to move my car... but the car wouldnt start. I woke up to see what the problem was, and tried. No luck, so I sat there and played with it for awhile and it still wouldnt work. I then put it in neutral and tried again... It started. My dad is a manager and works for a Goodyear service shop and told me that it was prolly my Neutral Safety Switch and i should bring it to the dealer and check it out. I did a search on this and couldnt find anything.

those are it so far, besides the normal complaints ive seen on the board about window oil streaks... and other issues...

#1 Thats normal... newer oil is thicker and untill the car warms up it will seem high.

#2 No idea, AT should only start in either P or N. Most likely wasnt all the way in the right gear or something so the switch wasnt activated. if it happens again take it in otherwise just a freak occurance in my opinoin.

 

it's happened twice. sorry i forgot 2 mention that, both times were on the same day. it hasnt done it since (knock on wood). it started right up both times when it was in neutral, just not in park...
