a few days after i put headers on my Z i got a SES light, so today i checked the code over at autozone and it says this:
i have 2 P1283: Air Fuel Measurement
and 2 P1274: Air Fuel Measurement
Anyone get these? Is it something to do with the O2 sensor? I pushed erase on the device they gave me at autozone and the light went away, but the problem isnt solved... any ideas?

I had the same codes that came on after installing headers and race pipes. They are Lean Condition Codes, one from each front o2 sensor. I have spent hours at nissan trying to figure out what is causing the problem (the techs said i was running 120-130% lean) And after replacing the front o2 sensors and the MAF, I was still getting no where. There is a company technosquare that does custom ECU flashes (cost $599), which could possibly fix the problem. I opted to take the headers and pipes off..... The light still came back on even after the headers and pipes where off, and I had the dealer clear the codes and reset the Learn.. and once agian. it came on agian. The only thing I have on the car is a nismo CAI. This is where I am at so far. If you get any further with this let me know.
What has worked on other cars, mostly 4cyl, is cleaning the MAF sensor or TB to get the lean code(s) taken care of. I don't know enough about the Z at this time but it may be worth a shot.

With the Celica say I would unplug the MAFS, remove it and then spray it with a non-choloric brake cleaner or electric cleaner.
Here is what the Celica guys do

If you are still getting the codes just reverse them. Its hard to explain which one is where on the downpipe. It depends on if you look under the car from the drivers side or the passenger side.
For what ever reason they do need to be installed on the proper port on the downpipe or those codes will trip. Guys running test pipes are running into this problem as well.
