hey guys, so i finally got my dealer to approve to a new long block due to excessive oil consumption. was buring about 1.5 litre per 1000miles. anyways...they call me yesterday morning and told me that everything is complete but my "kinetix v4 plenum" is giving them some problems. they told me that a new gasket is needed. so i called kinetix regarding this problem, they told me that using atv silicon will do the trick and will in fact work better than the original cork gasket, so i call the dealer back and tell them this; he says "ok". this morning he calls me back and tells me OIL is leaking out of the plenum...i repeat...OIL! im like WTF!??! why and how can oil leaking out of the plenum?? its an intake for god sake!! the dealer says "oh..ok let me go talk to the tech and i'll call you right back" so at this point im getting pretty frustrated with this service rep's stupidity. an air leak is totally understandable, but when he told me an "oil leak" im like..ok im screwed...the tech screwed up my car...im fudged.....any inputs?? just venting..
