Default Blinkers work but Hazards do not!

Does anyone know what i should look for? when i got the car it had the blue HID wanna b lights installed for the blinker and reverse lights. I have replaced those with some of the silver coated bulbs. The blinkers work perfect but when i hit the hazards nothing happens. Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you checked all your fuses?? That's usually a good place to start in any situation.

excellent question, but checking the fuses takes less than 5 minutes and is a GREAT place to start.

I'm not sure how it is on the Z as I haven't started digging around in it yet....

If the fuses are intact, then perhaps the on/off switch for the hazards has been disconnected. You'll have to remove the center console to check. That isn't too difficult; pull the part surrounding the shift boot and there are (I think) five screws holding the center console on. Two towards the front, one under the ashtray and two on either side towards the rear of the console.

Ok I just discovered that the fuses for the lights are in the hidden fuse box behind the battery. To get to it requires removing the battery and the fuse box in front of it, does any one know for sure if the blinkers could still work if the fuse for the hazards has blown? I just want to make sure before I pull the battery out! Thanks in advance!
