Default Service ENGINE soon.... at ONLY3800 miles...

i know there have been previous posts with this issue. but none have i seen this happen to anyone with just 3800 miles. i have an 05 enthusiast. had my first oil change last weekend, and have driven it about 300miles since. out of nowhere, while pulling out of a restaurant after dinner i have TCS, SLIP, and SES all come on. pull over to shut engine on and off. and now only SES remains. i've read previous post saying it could either be a throttle position sensor or crank position sensor problem. i'm debating whether i should take it to the dealership or just wait to see if the SES light goes away.and if i do take it, will they void my warranty with a JWT popcharger?

That same thing just happened to me! I made it to work and then when I was driving to lunch, it showed up! Basically I talked to Nissan and read in the ZManual, that you need to check the gas cap first. If that is not put on there tight, couple of clicks, then it will give you the light. I'm going to check mine before I go to work. . . . . .
Unscrew the cap and then re-screw it back on with a couple of clicks.

AHHH!!!

so today, i tear apart the audio and rewire everything from HU back to amp.

after much work and sweating, I finally get everythin to work. put everything back together, then turn on the car, and the "service engine soon" light is on. WTF!??!

And I didn't even open the gas cap, so that shouldn't be it.. anything else?

I got the Service light right after the Turbonetics ST install, we erased the code with a scan tool and then disconnected the battery. Fine for a couple of weeks, it came on again one morning... I just disconnected the battery for a minute or two then reconnected... It was gone, so maybe you don't have to wait 24 hours. But I do suggest disconnecting the negative terminal, then waiting a couple of minutes than reconnect.

Sorry the gas cap didn't work for you Onii!
As for me, in my situation, I had filled my gas tank up the previous day. . . . . right after work. Friday after work I unscrewed my gas tank cap and then rescrewed it in and made it click at least 5 times. I drove my car around about 3 or 4 more times that day and no chance, still SES light! This morning, I went to the store and no change then. Around the same time a day later I messed with my gas tank, after filling my tank some for the second time since, the light was gone!
BTW my car is at 12500 highway miles right now! I don't have any mods yet either!

i had the same problem when i put a k&n intake on and when i took it to nissan they said it was a sensor by the throttle, fine, so the ordered the part and 3 days later it turned off, they replaced the sensor anyways. i would try to reset and drive it around for a few days.
