your window regulator / motor is going out... either needs to be reset or replaced...

I would try having the limit switch reset. That has been the fix for every 350Z that Ive seen with that problem.

Happened to me recently. I was still within waranty so dealer replaced motor at no cost. I recommed taking care of this soon... I waited too long and my window locked on me. It wouldn't roll down at all!

Damn this is happening to me too. It works most of the time. This will be the 6th time I've taken the window in to get fixed for bad motor/track/grease marks.

can the reset be done myself without going to the dealer? I have the TSB and service manual OEM on PDF showing me the procedure and I have sufficient experience working on many automobile mechanics and electronics. I'm just unsure about the part about the Fitting Inspection. I am under the assumption that process is only necessary if the motor regulator or glass was removed. If I simply am reseting the regulator, the parallel alignment of window to the sash should remain the same, correct?
