How to properly jack/lift Z?
I've always pondered this on other cars but never came up with a solution I was comfortable with.
If you need to raise both wheels of one end of the car up, where do you put the jack stand since the lift point is occupied by the hydraulic jack?
I'm guessing you'd have to lift the side high enough to put the jack stand on a structural member... but where on the Z frame would you consider it safe to place the stand?
Thanks guys...

When I had a Nissan 240SX, Nissan offered an aftermarket manual for instructions on simple repair work, this manual showed the floor jack lift points and the jack stand placement points. Find out if Nissan has a manual for the new Z.
Sometimes the front engine cradle and rear diff are used as floor jack points, and there are four locations on the frame for the jack stands. Many feel that lifting by the rear diff is a bad idea on rear drive cars. Wood is always used between floor jack and car to displace weight, but I would not lift by rear diff.
Some people use two floor jacks to lift from under the sills, alternating sides on eash pump to get to the required height in order to place the jack stands
Best method is a garage lift, and you can always ask the Nissan dealer to show you the lift points, different cars have different points.
