Default burning clutch smell

i decided to see what my car has for power in an empty lot. i did some launches, drifting, nothing too crazy. anways, i noticed that nasty burning smell (from the clutch) so i stopped.

its 2 days later and that smell is definitely still there. i can smell it just underneath the car. i really hope the smell goes away and its nothing serious.

anyone have any imputs on that??

Burning Clutch Smell
I had that smell once when my 350Z was quite new. I was reving it up and shifting rather fast - . This Z was the most difficult stick car I have ever owned to learn to shift. It was VERY STIFF - took a full 2 monthis before I was at ease shifting. Someone suggested mfg has put a racing clutch in this model. Have never checked that out.
I now have 18,000 on my 04 and clutch still works fine - so, not to worry!
You didnt mention how many miles are on your car.

Make sure your foot isnt resting on the clutch pedal until your ready to shift. Very common to do this and not even realize it.
