Dealer gave me new tires.
I took my Z in today to get the rear tires put on that I bought online. I mentioned to the guy that I was getting some front tire roar and that I wanted him to check the alignment. I referenced the TSB and the letter i received from Nissan in regards to this.
(FYI: I bought my Z used and the previous owner or the dealer put on a new pair of OEM fronts before I bought it.)
So i dont hear from the dealer all day.....I just show up at 5. The service guy tells me that they replaced the fronts and did the alignment at no charge. I was pleased and a little confused until I went to pay for the mount/balance of my rear tires.
The dealer stung Nissan $350 per tire PLUS $150 installation for the front tires!!!
It was then clear why they were so quick to remedy the problem. Kind of a racket.....but whatever I got brand new tires and a fresh alignment....on NSANY's tab.

yeah believe it or not dealerships love to do warranty and TSB work. its money in the bank from mother nissan. all they have to do in the tire situation is have the qualifying measurements of the amount of feathering and if things add up then they replace, and charge Nissan.
when dealing with the customer dealerships open themselves up to price haggling and such, i know i do it with my dealership. but with the TSB, the dealer gets top notch price.
