The part number is 47-1377. Basically the price diff is autozone is going to give
you back $40 for the core.
I also took a look today at the brushes, I had one that was worn significantly more then the other to the point were I don't think it was making good contact anymore. I think cleaning is only a temp fix.

which side is this motor for? are left and right motors interchangeable?

Good lord what a bad design
Well, my motor was slowly dying on the drivers side, and i went through the entire procedure... .when replacing the core back into the commutator hole should you be screwing it back in, ie. turning it clockwise? And if so, how much turning is required?
Because it doesn't work at all now, even when i try the reset procedure -> Turn on engine, Open door, hold the Window up/down key while closing the door (usually this will reset the window without taking off the door etc.) and that doesn't even work anymore.... Thanks guys!

Did the motor turn under power when it was not linked back up to the window regulator?
I'd recommend trying to get that working first. If it still can't handle the load of the regulator gearing, then it probably needs replacing. You may have had an insulation failure on the motor windings that is causing a short.

What do you mean linked back up to the window regulator? I didn't really remove it from the regulator, i just unscrewed the 3 screws from the cover and removed the motor and cleaned it, then stuck it back in (don't know if i had to unscrew it or screw it back in.....)

hi...
i am just in the process of finishing the fix but apparently there is this obstacle i cant figure out
basically after i removed the 3 screwes to open up the motor, the motor housing gave a little pop then after i cleaned the thing i cant close the housing anymore...
there is this gap ...
it doesnt matter how i place the motor inside it still has the gap...

Pull the motor out and check for debris. (I'm sure you've done this a couple times already) After that, give the motor a quarter turn before placing it back into the housing. If that doesn't work, pull it out and give it another quarter turn. Rinse, lather, repeat.
Hope this helps. It was the only thing I could think of off the top of my head. I did not personally encounter this problem myself.

doesnt worky...
i think im gonna go send the car to the dealer tomorrow and let them take care of this...
there is absolutely nothing in the casing on either side.. and the housing cover still doesnt close...
the motor unit is so worn i think the fix will just be temporary ...
the car only has 16xxx miles too...

Sorry friend. It was all I could think of. If you can, save the motors after the dealer replaces the old ones. I'm sure someone on here would like to tinker with them.

My version of the process...
1. Remove the cap and screw from the door handle
2. Pop the panel...
3. Remove 2 screws from inside
4. Afterwards ...
5. Door lever has a screw there too... its covered by a rubber cap and plastic cover
6. Afterwards
7. Pull off door panel
8. Inside
9. Another look
10. Remove all the screws then pull off the aluminium panel revealing the motor unit then remove the 3 screws...
11. What the inside looks like (dirty)
12. Rubbing Alchy and Q-tips
13. Supposedly cleaned up and everything...
14. Dirty hands
15. I cant solve this !?!?!?

All you have to do is rotate the motor housing. It is a screw-drive gear. I had the same problem.

I ran into the same problem just keep turing it and press down on the top of the coil and it should pop in. You should feel the coil move into the housing by a 1/4 inch or so. Good luck.
BTW I brought my motor to a auto motor repair shop to see if they can replace the brushes, I will let you know if they can and at what price.

So I'm getting my motor repaired, its going to cost $80. They have to make custom brushes cause they can't buy replacements. But they said the brushes they are going to be using are much harder then the current ones so he said it should last a lot longer.

ok...
i bought a new motor from nissan
and i installed it ..
the motor works fine, window goes up fine
BUT
when the window is rolled up to the max (reaching into the top weather stripping) the window doesnt think its the max but it still wants to go up but can't... so it retreats like 4 inches down like it hit something , you know?
so...
what to do :?

i do the reset procedure with the window glass unit itself unattached to the aluminum panel right?
because its impossible to reach around the aluminum panel after the screws are in...

so basically the reset procedure for the window rotor is with the power connected to the switch and the window motor only then press the button with the rotor unmounted to the glass unit
right?
