Default Window Re-programming??

I have the somewhat common problem of my windows rolling back down about 5 inches after using the automatic up. The dealer said that my window had lost its programming and needed to be reprogrammed. They said this was considered an adjustment and it wasn't covered under warranty, they wanted to charge $130 for it. Anyone hear of this before? From other post on this forum, I thought this problem was because of a failing window motor?!

Thanks

take off door panel, find the button on the motor. It's behind some screws or something....put window all the way down..press button. Pull window all the way up...push button again - done. There's a thread on this. Like you...I'm not gonna search for it. But I have same problem. Hasn't become annoying enough for me to take off my door panel but it's probably like a 10-20 minute job depending on how good you are taking off the door panel.

Do a search by my username. I just posted the bulletin link with all the info somewhere here.

It should be covered under warranty...I just took mine in and they "fixed" it. I use the quotation marks because it's already doing it again.

if you remove the door panel, in the middle of the door will be a small adjustment for the window. it sets the switch for when the window reaches the top. i have had to adjust mine 2 times now. it is actually a quick thing to do and i can have it done faster than it would take for me to even drive to the dealer.
