Impression after MT fluid and Diff. fluid change
my hope was to quiet down the synchro noise/gear whine. on that hope, i've failed. it's whiny as usual; when letting off throttle while cruising. by the way, my mileage was at 28900 when i did this today.
i used the mobil 1 GL5 for the differential. and used the redline "MT-90" GL4 for the tranny.
it definately was fun using the suction gun to fill up the tranny and the differential.... not. it really wasnt bad other than the fact that it was a little messy and the capacity of the suction gun was less than a quart.
i have reused the washer on the drain/fill plugs. they are not crush washers so i am not sure why nissan service manual states "do not reuse gaskets." maybe i will get new ones next time i do it.
one thing i can feel is that, the shifter goes into 1st gear easier with and without rev-matching. also, i am noticing smoother engagements as i let out the clutch after shifts... not the actual shifter engagement but the gear engagement. perhaps because it's slightly thicker then what nissan recommends. nissan recommends 75w85. "MT-90" i used is a 75w90.
i've spoken with dave at redline and he said it would be a no problem. he said i could mix50:50 with their "MT" fluid (75w80) to create the 75w85. him and i both agreed that it wasnt critical.
it was a fun way to spend a sunday afternoon. and as others have stated, it's an easy job.

Mine is about to hit 30k miles and I will be doing the same process you did next week.
I am thinking to using Royal Purple Max-gear on both tranny and diff. (I know the tranny suppose to take GL-4)
Any other fluid recommandations?

I would recommend using GL-4 in transmission. GL-5 contains additives that are corrosive to some metal brass parts in transmission, or so I've read. I think this is reason why Nissan recommends GL-4 in transmission.
