The light came on after installing my radio. Everything works but the light is on. Took neg batt cable of for a 1/2 hr and went out after hooking it back up. Went to dinner started the car back up and the damn light is back on wtf. 2004 Z

 

I believe in you turn on the ignition prior to hooking up your heater controls you will throw the service engine light.

 

go to an autozone and get it scanned just to see what the code is, its free. then we will be able to help you more.

 

Replaced Radio Head Unit over the weekend, Engine Service Light is now on.
