Default Tranny shaking on idle

Guys I get a vibration right underneath my seat and shifter when my car is on idle, I also notice my shifter shake alot, I could also hear poping or gear hitting sound right around the tranny area. Does you guy's Z do that??

If I drive close the a wall and start my car on 1st gear, I could hear a Loud Chattering, and Loose sound, feels like the whole thing is going to break apart.

Took the car to the dealer yesterday, they told me the car is fine, and thats how the transmission works. Now does anyone have the some symptons that I have. do you guys feel any kind of vibration on the shifter and the seat when it's on idle. or is it really smooth. Any Clunking sound on Idle coming out when you stand next to the car once in a while?? Anything will help ^^

honestly, if the dealer is on record as saying it's normal, and something gets damaged due to continued use, i believe you'd have a case for him covering most of the cost. do you feel that the shaking at idle is causing the noise, or is it after you engage the clutch at take-off?

the shaking at idle is causing the noise. The clunking noise happpened at around 20000 mile, and it's getting louder.

it could be a rough idle

mine did the shaking, though it wasnt a rattle. It was poping noises and inconsistant tremmors that could be felt in the drivers seat. Got a grounding kit and it helped a bunch though it still vibrates a little which is to be expected.

I own a 03z with 10k(yeah I know only 10k on a 03) any how my car was doing the same thing and I took it in at the dealer ship, the guy tooled me that I need it a new trany due to the gears grinnding, just like your car. So they replaced my tranny at no cost. But now my clutch grips to high, I did have them put in the Nismo clutch and Nismo pr plate
