Passenger Side Window Retarded...
It happens about every 3 months. I usually roll with my windows down. Well sometimes the passenger side wants to act retarded and not go back up. I'll turn the car off, come back in like 5 hours and then it decides to cooperate. Then it will work fine for the next three months. WTF??? Any ideas?

I have a theory that as the carbon brushes of the window motor get chewed up by the commutator, an intermittent short results. In some cases, going through the motor recalibration will help. However, I have found that cleaning the carbon out of the motor is more effective. See the thread in my sig for details. If you still have warranty coverage the service dept will probably just do a recalibration and send you on your way (they aren't allowed to open up and service the motor). If you keep having problems, they will eventually replace the motor (or possibly blame the regulator and replace that instead). However, if you open the motor you will likely see the problem of carbon build-up between the contacts on the commutator.
BTW, you can usually bang your fist against the middle of the door to jar the failing motor and get the window to roll up again. This is good to know in case of a rain storm.
Good luck,
Jeff
