Service Engine Soon after Radio Install?!

After installing my Kendwood DDX , the "Service Engine Soon" light came up?
f**ing cables are so damn hard to get in there with out brutal pushing , hope I didn't kill a cable, but I checked it again an nothin is cut off or somethin ??

I did fill up the car, but the light didnt go on right after fillin it up?! later that night I installed my radio and after starting up the car the "SES light" when on?
I check my gas cap again and turned it a couple of times but the light is still oN?!

Did you unplug the little white box under the radio and behind the AC controls with the battery still hooked up? If so that is it, that box process many signals that will set off the light if diconnected with the battery still hooked up, lesson is to disconnect the battery before doing the work.

could that white box cause the buttons on the radio not to work? and for it to cylce through the audio options by itself?
none of the buttons on my stock bose radio work. only the volume control. and i had the shift console out a few days ago messing with a shift ****. any relation?
