Default how to reset the ecm?

Does anyone know how to reset the computer on a Z?

I never got it to work after like 10 tries. Guess I have some timing issues myself
I went with the disconnecting batt. method.

Not dumb at all. If you do something that throws a CEL (check engine light), resetting the ECU will clear it.

Also, the Z's ECU supposedly "learns" during normal operation. If you make major modifications, like headers, intake, etc., you would reset the ECU to force it to relearn based on the new mods. (BTW, that's an extreme simplification of what the ECU is doing).
