car handles fine, but on sudden jerks to the left while moving, i hear a loud audible "takk." i thought it was the control arms but im pretty sure its the brushing. if so, how bad is it to drive with a bad brushing for about a week. dont have time to work on the car right now.

I had a popping noise, similar to a ball joint popping out of place. It only happened when I made sharp turns with the steering wheel cut all the way. I was something in the undercarrage. Not sure what it was, but the dealer found it. It took about a week to replicate and find out what the cause was. They used some kind of monitoring device, that you attach to strategical points on the suspension. They then test drove the vehicle while this device measured abnormal vibrations. This is how it was explained to me. Like I said, they found it a week later and repaired it. Good luck.
