0w-20 motor oil...good or no??
I was at a store today and I saw this 0w-20 motor oil from Japan that just came out over here. They use this same oil in the honda formula 1 cars and the rep from Nippon Oil corp. was there and was telling me that this oil was amazing for Nissan (before I told him I drove a Nissan). My friend put some in his built civic and he said it's amazing.
I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions or experience on this type of oil. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
They also have a 0w-50 oil but he said that would only be good if my car was built up a little more so I dont know.
Thanks

Most Honda engines specify 5W-20, so it is not surprising this weight would work well in them.
0W-20 might be tempting to use here in Vermont, where it is colder most of the time, but I'm not sure I would use it where you are unless it is synthetic. (you don't mention it as being so.)
To get to a 0W-50 rating, a significant additive package would be necessary. I would not use that for everyday driving.
