There is no fuel filter and you can change your air filter every 10k depending on your driving conditions. The air filter is easy to check when you check your oil.

There is a fuel filter. Its not accessible though. Its in the fuel pump assembly where the FP sucks gas in. Mine was clean at 54K miles....so you dont have to ever worry about it.

The only thing in there is a screen. It's there to stop large particals from getting in the pump. You can call it a filter but it's not really. I think he was looking for a external filter which we don't have.

actually its recommoneded to change the fuel filter every 30,000 miles, but its a pita to change it on some cars so most people dont do it until they loose pressure in thier fuel system. happy days

Nissan seems to be weird with fuel filters and makes things difficult. traditional fuel filters change 30/60/90 but the Z/Pathfinder is a "permanent"/"in tank" filter which I could not find to replace at anytime in the service manual.

The FSM and the manitenance manuals do not list a fuel filter change interval. All they say is that it's "maintenance free".
