Ever since the weather got really cold, my tire pressure sensor has been going off constantly (the light just stays on all the time and I get that annoying beeping noise even though the pressure levels are ok). I took it to the dealer, and they said they recalibrated it but it still does the same thing. Anyone else experience this? I wish I could find the fuse for this damn thing so I can just disable it. This is one 'feature' I don't need.

 

just an idea, but try puttin some air in your tires man. it sets off when a tire hits 28PSI, then it STAYS tripped untill ALL the tires go above 32PSI. this can happen on its own sometimes if it gets warm and you drive for a while. but just pump em up and there is no "reset" needed, I donno why people think there is...

 

Mine does the exact same thing. It went off in a couple of days, but today the weather got cold again and the light and beeping came on. The light stays on now, but the beeping doesn't come on.

 

I live in the Philadelphia area where it has been pretty cold lately. My tire pressure sensor just went off today. I checked the tire pressure and all tires read 28. I am reluctant to add more air. What effect will adding more air have when it gets warmer? Will I have to release air when it gets warmer?

 

the tires are supposed to be 35 cold, meaning they could easily hold 40 when hot. you could fill up to 33 on a cold day and be fine. even 35 would be ok, but when they get hot youll find the ride to be extra rough.

 

I had the same problem for the first couple days... brought her into the dealer and they said that it hadn't been set up properly yet. 20 minutes later, it was all set and I haven't been bothered by it since.

 

This one cracked me up. I am voting the tire
beeping pressure warning 'Your Door is Ajar' of the new century. Warning light good - beeping for EACH tire that has too low pressure is just annoying.

We hit -40 (the magic temp, same in C as in F) here a few days ago, the has been beeping like crazy. I put enough in so it is shows pressure while cold between 32 and 37 and it hasn't beeped once since.
