Default Grounding Kit

What is the process involving the grounding kits? Is it something terribly difficult to install, or is it like replacing spark plug wires? Also, does anyone know if this causes any problems with the Nissan warranty? Thanks for the help!

Your questions have been covered extensively. In sum, they take about an hour and a half to install if you're at all mechanically inclined. Changing plugs in the VQ35 is going to be more difficult. The grounding kits are a bit like synthetic oil, neither are recommended by Nissan, but neither should prove problematic unless a warranty problem is proven to be DIRECTLY related to their use.

Hope this helps!

Default Just installed mine last saturday

Pictures at my www web site below.

If you can remove a screw, and then put it back, I think you have all the skill required. The hardest part I had was to figure out which cable was 29 inches and which one was 30...

Even going super slow to make sure I didn't scratch anything, it took less than 45 mins.

Look for the very long thread at the Performance forum...

Not really true. The grounding kits are purchasable as a Nismo addon and (from what I understand) an option in Japan.

Default Actually quite true...

...it's been discussed before. If one of our grounding kits is installed incorrectly and causes some damage, Nissan may not cover it. Insaneisme covers this with a legal disclaimer in his kit (a wise move) and I'm sure other kits have something similar.

As far as the Nismo kit goes, if it's installed incorrectly, I doubt very much that Nissan note the label and cover all damage.
