Default Paint Estimate Quote

i went to a collision shop today to get an estimate. i need to have both my a-pillars repainted and my rear bumper repainted. what i planned on doing was to remove the parts and drop them off at the shop to have them repainted and save on labor.

i was quoted $350 total. $350 for just paint? is that accurate? how much labor can be involved in stripping off the old paint and putting on new paint? there is no damage, just scratched paint on all 3 parts.

labor is labor...it depends if he is sanding all the way down to primer, repriming, paiting, and clearing...or just shooting a new layer of paint on the old paint

no its a complete strip down and repaint. $270 is fine with me. i didnt want to pay anymore then $300. thats why i was a bit t-ed when he said $354 with myself doing most of the work. (removing and re-installing the parts).
