just got a 04 Z, was wondering if its normal to hear clanking when shifting from 1st to 2nd..i also hear it from 2nd to 3rd. Also, anyone hear clicking sound from the rear of the car when you accerarate after stoping/releasing gas pedal? the sound last for about 1 or 2 secs.

 

There is a TSB for the clicking sound from your rear axle. Also, many people have had their transmissions replaced because of the clanking when shifting. Assuming the warranty is still valid (i don't know why it wouldn't be...) you should be able to get your dealer to look at the car...unless you bought it as is...
