100,000 Z's in 7 months??
The salespeople at Charlie's (John and Andy) are great. I've been in there twice this week just to shoot the breeze with them. They offered me a great deal on your Redline Track, but at the time, I thought I wanted a Touring model in Brickyard. By the time I came to my senses, you'd already taken that car, and they ordered another one for me. I didn't get quite as good a deal, since they had to order it (and it was pretty difficult for me to negotiate while I was drooling), but it was OK. It arrived one day before our first big snowstorm and has been garaged for 2 months now. They have a blue Track there now that they're advertising for $2k under MRSP. It's tough for dealers up here to move sports cars during the winter so there are definitely deals to be made.
Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm hoping I avoided some of them with my car which was probably built ~3 months after yours. I would definitely call about the extended warranty.
Weather permitting, I'm driving down to Atlanta the first week in April for the Women's Final Four (Georgia Dome). Keep your eyes open for another red Z with Maine plates.

As far as iknow, Nissan is producing only 45K this year. There after 20K per year starting 2004. I think they have already produced 100K so far. This info was given to me by the owner of Trophy Nissan in Dallas. If this is true, then the resale value should be very good through out the year...
Huh? I don't think they have produced 100K 350Z's!
As was posted above, 16K sold so far in the US. I doubt they have 74K sitting on dealer lots or sitting at the factory. I really don't think there is significantly more around the world than in the US.
Originally Nissan said around 30K per year would be produced.

Check out the Infiniti G35 Coupe. I know the two cars are similar, but when you check out the forums on www.g35driver.com, no one has any major complaints, such as oil leaks or bad tranny, you'll find mostly praise. Compare the two cars, I like both but I think the G35 is of better quality.
Apparently, there is some confusion about the VIN even at Nissan customer service, which told me that the number is not sequential for the 350Z and does not reflect the production number of the car.
I am more interested in whether the number of cars allocated for North America in 2003 is close to being reached.

My better half & I plan on getting a DB track next spring. Gotta give you girls/guys credit for buying a first year model, there is always gonna be problems with the first run of cars, just gotta deal with it. But hey, if everybody had my attitude, we would never get such nice cars to begin with cuz nobody would risk it.

They post all sales numbers on it......I believe the total numbers of Z have been sold in Feb. 2003 was 2724, and year to date is 6296. Quite a lot, btw, S2ks hit 9xxx for last year.
