Default smoke from front end...coolant?

Hey,

I just noticed today that my car was smoking a little bit. It was white and my immediate thought was that it was overheating. The smoke was not intense but it was there. Temp gauge was fine and I didn't check the overflow tank yet, but I did notice some coolant on the hood latch and also on the weather shield below the radiator. Anyone else have this happen to them? I'm going to see if it leaked anymore at all.

Thanks,

Chris

Didn't say how old your car was, but the radiator cap may need replacement. No indication of high temps by the instruments?

My radiator had to be replaced. It leaked between the plastic tanks and aluminum coils.

Depends on your deductible. If deductible is $500.00, I'd personally pay for the repairs out of my pocket. It would save you in the long run.
