NO!!!!

The problem is that the seat bolts have come loose. Get some blue threadlock, remove the bolts, put some threadlock on the bolts and then tighten them down snugly.

I have this same problem. I looked under the seat while pulling on the front of the seat from side to side. The squeek was coming from the height adjustment bar where it goes into the stamped sheetmetal side panels of the seat. Some lube will stop this but something I noticed is that there is a lot of lateral movement in the front of the seat. That same height adjustment bar is allowed to move alot because the ends are not fixed within their pivot points. I actually had the end of that bar pop out of it's pivot point when i hit a bump. Had to pull the front of the seat back up to get it back in place.

do a seach for TSBs. There is one out there for 2003 MY. It's for side to side movement of the seat. My 2003 did move early on but I got used to it. It's not until this summer that it started to squeak. It's the same issue. The TSB shows you how to fix it. I made up my own half washers and added one to the inner side of the adjustment bar. Someone else had posted what they did to fix it but it was much more work. I was able to add my washer without removing the seat.

This applies to the manual seats. If you have power seats, it must be a different problem.

I have an 06 with power seats that squeeks. 5500 miles. It's a toss up between the clutch pedal and the seat as to which one is worse. Should have kept the 03 BY because the 06 makes so many noises I'm not sure what might fall off or come loose next. Not to mention the window motors being replaced, window streaks, rear axle click(on an 06), transmission will never last till 10k. Good thing it's still under warranty.

lol I have clutch pedal squeak too. That just comes with wear and tear I think. Then there's rear suspension squeak and something from the engine chirping.

Don't forget to throw in the brembo brake squeel. This car make more noises than a tickle me Elmo. Quality has gone way down from my 03 pre order.

That eventually went away, you just need to break hard and ride it a little bit. or just change out the rotors and pads.

what about door/window creaking, interior rattling, back seat knocking and transmission chatter, A/C compressor noise and somehow the windshield wipers are connected to the pedals.

the more I think about it, I need to sell this car.

I love the 'Z'. Although I am starting to feel the same way about selling it. The issues over shadow the pleasures of driving the 'Z' now. Question is what to buy that could replace the fun factor of the 'Z'. Sorry this went a little past the original idea of this thread but I feel it is on the same line. Lack of quality from Nissan. It seems Nissan has moved on to whatever they are planning for 07 and the 05-06 are just some junk they put out till the 07 arrives.
