Huh. I find it *really* odd hearing your '06 has a CD-008. Any tech like to chime in on this? I thought the 008 version has been outdated, even for the '05s!

 

my 06 has the 1-2 gear grind at 1st gear WOT... not sure if that's the infamous 2nd gear grind

 

Mine does also, but other than that, my 06 tranny has been fine.

 

I have an 2006 touring with about 44k on it. 5th went out at 29k and now I am feeling the same grind into 5th again...just 15k later. I have the extended warranty. I wonder if they would replace it again... Any thoughts?

 

Yes, they will replace it again. Take it back.
