Question Can remote put the windows up?

I just got my Z this Friday and I am wondering if the remote can be programmed to put the windows UP as well as roll them down?

If this has already been answered here or in the manual I apologize.

Thanks!

-Rob

The remotes that come with the car will roll the windows down to let hot air out in the summer after parking it outside. This can be done by holding the unlock button down. However, you cannot roll the windows up using the remote.

You can roll the windows up from the outside by holding the key in the lock position, and down by holding the key in the unlock position.

I wonder if they will expand this remote window down (or key in the door window down) to work the convertible top!?!?

That would be SWEET, to use the remote to roll down the windows and lower the top before getting in.

Andy-
I think a lot of wether Nissan will do this will be based on what type of top the Z convertible has. If it has no external locking mechanism (meaning it has to be done by hand) then it will be possible for them to do this, however, if you do have to unlatch the top from inside the car, its not going be possible. Well see....

Darn, you are right. I think I saw somewhere that there is a single manual latch that needs to be undone before lowering the top. Drat!

Oh well, it will still be COOL.

You can put the key in the door lock and turn counter clockwise to put the windows up, and clockwise to roll the windows down. In case people didn't know that either.
