Yea, it was shipped that way...but I'm talking to the guy, he's being reasonable so...

Anyway, it actually cracked into 3 pieces, the big plenum, and two little ones, but one fell out of the box so left with just the two pictured...

btw, if anyone's selling an mrev2, let me know, still want the mod

The best fix it is to file a damage claim with the shipping company for the full retail price.
But you have to do it right away!

I don't think that plenum is repairable at this point. Its too far gone. Even if you could JB weld it, it probably wouldn't seal properly and could potentially implode at a later date. ...You don't want metal pieces getting sucked into the engine...

And don't try welding it either. Its cast aluminum and will warp severly when heat is applied.

Have to agree ---Its just too porous to have Heli-Arced and even if u could u would have to have it jigged in a Mill for a complete resurface. Bummer. I take extreme chances on my own stuff but Id be scared to Dev-Con or Liquid Weld it also. Man --BUMMER

The seller should bear the responsibility for inadequate packing! If he were to do the right thing, he would see it that way!

Be better to cover ur butt ---If need be fabricate some packing that may not have been there and give the shipping box a kick in the proximity of the break and diplomatically confront the shipper

dont try to fix it. the last thing you want is a piece of weld going into your motor..

Ok, thanks guys, the seller took responsibility and is in the process of refunding me right now, hopefully I'll get some money back. This mod was the top dog on my priority list of to-do's. Anyways, I'm still looking for a Mrev2, let me know if anyone's selling.
